Kpop opens whole new musical dimensions for SOKO newcomers. Syncing your brain in tune to all the different boy bands, girl groups, solo stars and starlets in the KPop universe makes for a mind blowing task that keeps most peeps never listening to much less loving KPOP.
That ends now! As a KPOP junkie it’s my duty to ensure you enjoy this musical junk food I love so much. I’m gonna blast you the 411 on the latest and greatest KPOP acts so you too can feast on this sonic cotton candy.
The boys of CN Blue stands stand out among the typical Kboy groups in Korea cause they are actually a band that, you know, actually plays instruments! The CN in their name stands for Code Name while the Blue is an acronym with each letter representing the style of one member of the band.
The B is Burning for Lee Jong Hyun (vocals and lead guitar), L is for Lovely which totally fits Kang Min Hyuk (Vocals and Drums), Untouchable is for Lee Jung Shin (vocals and guitar) with is stoically icy demeanor and E is the Emotional and fiery Jung Yong Hwa (lead vocals and guitar).
They have two albums but their latest is First Step which just came out in 2011. In the video the guys roam around acting like street thugs, but I’ve never a waifish thug before with perfectly moussed hair but what do I know? They jump on cars and vandalize public property by tagging their band’s name on everything they can see. They also beat up a poor security officer which makes no sense to me. Am I supposed to cheer cause they beat down an old man? Maybe if they took out Vin Diesel I’d hoot and holler.
Then they take out a black subway security guard. I’ve never seen a black subway security guard in Seoul, but, hey I haven’t been to every subway station so maybe a guy is working out there somewhere. If you see him, leave a comment cause that’s something I’d go check out just to see for myself. Their antics are really tThey black out security cams and you just know they’re about to A do each other’s hair or B each other… I kid, I kid!
Their chased to a rooftop where they’ve been jamming for the whole video, but when the rent a cops arrive CN Blue is no where to be found. I half expected the guards to start a dance routine but no such luck.
I’ve put the self titled single up for you to get a listen and tell me what you think!
