KMK: Le Saint Ex

Cafes Food

If you’re on the look out for genuine French cuisine then look no further than Le Saint Ex. The owners took on the challenge of creating an authentic French bistro and have succeeded. Starting with the simple but traditional “plat du jour” a practice of writing the day’s menu on a blackboard usually featuring two appetizers, two main dishes, and the daily specials that strike the chef’s fancy.

The bistro atmosphere doesn’t stop with the “plat du jour”. The space is casual and relaxed. The staff attentive and courteous. And the menu, while not extensive, stays true to authentic French food while offering variety by constantly changing. On any given occasion you may find foie gras, crepes, pomme frittes, Bouillabaisse, onion soup,  mussels and that’s just the beginning.

Personally I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying several of their dishes. For an appetizer I would suggest the warm goat cheese salad with almond and honey dressing which may sound intimidating but absolutely tastes divine. If that’s too daunting then go for the smoke salmon with potato or go with the soup of the day.

Le Saint Ex also offers an extensive wine list as well as a take out service boasting an assortment of chocolates and cheeses.

Prices for appetizers hover around 10,000 to 20,000 KRW while main dishes range from 20,000 to 40,000KRW. Be sure to take a peek at the Lunch sets and brunch specials.
