This year for our field trip my winter camp decided on Hanhwa Resort. Specifically, because of the opportunity for the kids to get in a day of sledding. Skeptical, at first, my concerns soon dissolved away once I took my first run downhill! I hadn’t been sledding since my elementary school days and I forgot what a rush it could be. Even better now than then because I have much more mass to get me me going that much faster on my runs down hill.
My school kids eagerly tried to race me to the bottom all to no avail except for the one time I crashed and ended up being soundly beaten by everyone. If you’re thinking of staying overnight you can book a room at the Hanhwa Resort Hotel.
There’s also bathing in the woods and a sauna as well as a swimming pool and sports activities (probably more suited to summer weather).
Admission: 10,000 KRW for sledding
