KMK: Egg and Spoon Race

Cafes Food

If you’re in the mood for a new brunch spot I suggest Egg and Spoon Race in Edae. This cute little restaurant is just a short stroll from Ehwa Women’s University Station.  It’s one of those places that seems perfect for Korean gal pal gabfest and bite to eat. On a Sunday afternoon the handful of tables and terrace filled up with hungry couples and friends in a matter of minutes.

Once our food arrived we discovered why the place is so popular. I ordered the waffle brunch plate and devoured every bite except for the sausage which I never seem to like no matter who serves it. The plate also comes with a small salad, bacon, and eggs. We also ordered the Korean seafood rice. The menu blends both Korean and Western dishes just case you want to mix and match with your friends to get a taste of everything.

A brief glance of the menu revealed Tenderloin steak, shrimp pasta, ricotta cheese salad, fritatas, honey toast, waffle plates, seafood risotto,  tomato cheese omelets, Gorgonzola pizza,  and cheese, spicy or cream tteokboki. There’s also a selection of black teas with strawberry, peach, or blueberry as well as the usual coffees, teas, and other soft drinks. Prices range from 9,000 to 25,000 KRW.
