KMK: Rise of the She-Dragon

I just don’t know what it is about She-Dragon. Kwon Ji-Yong ( 권지용) rides that fence between feminine and masculine like a skate boarder popping a trick down a handrail. I’m not hating. No, I love it. He’s like some pan-sexual mythic Satyr with highlights and skinny jeans and, well, less hair and horns. Okay, so maybe he’s not like a satyr but more of a legendary creature like the chimera. His whole look is just so, so, forgive me but I have to go all Tyra on you and say, FIERCE!

You know I thought Rain had Fierce on lock down for all the K-pop boys (and girls for that matter), but I was seriously wrong. She-Dragon stole Rain’s candy and ran away with it, working what his momma gave him like it’s about to expire. Use or lose it? He uses every ounce of it. I would totally go lesbian for She-Dragon, not that I have to cause he’s a boy even though he doesn’t really look it, but even if he weren’t I’d still be all up on that.

I have to show you what I mean. Lets look at the pretty.

Let’s start with pic number one on the top left where he’s full on smizing and giving Vogue Cover material. Blond ambition? He’s got it. He’s a Bowie Madonna love child conceived on MTV and born on stage. Then in pic two he gets all metro sexy on me with flowers no less. Plus, it takes balls to wear a cut out kimono. In pic three he’s going all gangsta on us with his Lil’ Kim fur and low slung jeans. He’s a chameleon I’m telling you! Pic four with the asymmetrical hair channels Eighties gender bending Annie Lennox.  And finally, in pic five, he’s just so freaking adorably cute and tiny. He’d be like an earring on Queen Latifah dangling from her lobes hitting his poses. That’s one accessory I’d snap up in a minute.

Face it: She-Dragon is the Daddy Gaga of music! Don’t question it! Just embrace it like me and love it!
