I’ve been a posting spree about Fashion Street in Apgujeong. I can’t help it. I had such a great time there that my fingers fly across the keyboard when it comes to blogging about the place. Another hot spot I discovered was Coffee Smith. Now when it comes to coffee housed there are things that I must have.
Number one on the list is great coffee. What’s the point of seeking out a place to write if it doesn’t come with flavorful mocha java to keep the brain humming? Coffee Smith has the stuff I need. My latte satisfied without that Starbucks guilt.
Number two is all about access. Internet access that is. I need it. I have to have it. Even if I don’t use I still need to see those little bars on my desk tray light up one by one with the signal strength reliability worthy of a Day Trader submitting his last bid before closing time. Coffee Smith gave me what I needed.
Number three gets more into my aesthetic sensibilities. In the summer I want to be somewhere bright open and airy. Coffee Smith’s front wall folds back on itself to open the entire establishment up. The front half of the building becomes an outside patio! I could write, people watch and enjoy a summer breeze all at the same time. Rock on. They have hard wood floors and oak tables that practically seduced my laptop into settling down and raising a few kids. Did I mention the three floors? Yes, three.
The space really does make a difference. I won’t even look at other coffee house on Fashion Street. See you later, Coffee Bean. Adios Starbucks. My heart belongs to Coffee Smith now.
KMK: Coffee Smith

WOW! That coffee house…or more like warehouse is beautiful! 🙂
I have NO Starbucks guilt. Living in Seattle, I try to find ways to stick it to the Starbucks-man.

Probably! It’s going to be my new hangout!
