Need a new weekend brunch spot? I’ve got the perfect place for you. It’s in Apgujeong on Fashion Street. Never heard of it? Well I hadn’t either until heading out there for the Gangnam Fashion Festival, but it’s more than worth a look. I spotted my new brunch spot by noticing its wrought iron archway and lyrical name: A Story.
Once in their courtyard you’ll see the stations laid out with trays of food and waiters flitting about. I immediately knew I’d made the right decision when I say the grill with ribs and the table of sparking wine. The other outside delights include a chef waiting to make your eggs to order as well as whip you up a waffle. Heaven!
Inside things get even better with a varied selection of brunch goodies. There were cereals to be had as well as breads including croissants and rye. Salads and ripe juicy fruits will tempt you to pile them on your plate before you even reach the six styles of pasta waiting for you to try.
I paced myself. I took my time. I wanted to try it all and believe me I did. The brunch is buffet style and you can go back as much as you like. I savored every bite and enjoyed all of it.
Not only do you get to enjoy great food, but the ambience of A Story will make you wish you’d brought your loved one or inspire you to go out and snag one. The courtyard is open with a riot of green and a dash of color to give it all a summery feel. Inside is just as nice with the feel of an old rustic cottage.
This slice of weekend heaven can be yours for 24,000won and please believe me that it was worth every single won.
