KMK: Garousu Gil

To find Garousu Gil, aka Fashion Street, take Exit five at Apgujeong station, face the Hyundai Department store and then walk left for five or so blocks. Cross the street left and head down the block to your new fashion haven. Or you can take exit 8 of Sinsa Station walk two blocks and make a left.

 

I just found this great new street to explore jus this past weekend. Only a few subway stops away in Apgujeong is Fashion Street. I never knew it was there and would’ve continued to be blissfully unaware if not for the Gangnam Fashion Festival, which I’ll blogged about later.

 

I feel Fashion Street is even better than that other famous street in Apgujeong. The street goes for block after block with everything you could want on a sunny afternoon day with money to burn in your pocket. Niche boutiques selling shoes, T-shirts, jeans, skirts, dressed and every other kind of frilly, lacey, skintight or flowing garment you can imagine is for sale.

 

Topping that is the legion of restaurants, bars, and cafes ready to wine and dine you after a mad dash of shopping. Notable stand outs include A Story and Coffee Smith (I’ll blog about them soon). And there are so many more to experience.

 

I’m so glad I discovered Fashion Street. I am ready to see new and more different things and this place scratched that itch perfectly. I bet it will for you too!
