KMK: Obama Wins SC

Obama has won South Carolina! He took the lion’s share of the vote bringing in over fifty percent of the votes. Clinton came in second with 27 % and Edwards a distant third with 18%. Hopefully this new momentum will translate into more delegates on Super Tuesday on February 5th. On the fifth 22 states will be sending millions of voters to the ballot box.

In South Carolina Obama took a huge chunk of the black vote. The media seems to be suggesting that Obama’s appeal may not translate beyond the black community. Which is totally absurd since the first primary in New Hampshire showed that his campaign appeals to a broad section of Democrats.

I watched the debates in South Carolina and thought that basically Clinton seemed a bit too on the negavtive side. She should revamp her approach and call off the attack dog, Bill, before he ends up biting her in the backside. Edwards seemed a little irrelevant in the debate, but his prescence does keep thins interesting.

Super Tuesday here we come!
