KMK: Movember

Culture Lifestyle

Movember is a charity event held every November to raise awareness for Men’s health issues. The idea behind it is to shave all your facial hair on November first and then allow your hair to grown uncut for the entire month. The longer your stache grows the more pledge money your donors are supposed to donate.

My New Zeland friends introduced me to the concept and we started on the first. Already I have a five o’clock shadow that’s slowly morphing into a soon to be beard. I’m winning so far.

The rules vary, but you can have only a mustache movember or a beard and goatee Movember. The choice is really up to you and your group. There are also different categories of mustache such as the dirty mo or the fu mo chu. Whatever mustache you decide to grow it’s all for a worthy cause so put those clippers or razors down and let the hair grow freely.
