Mac-tastic

MACALICIOUS

I have news. I crossed over to the dark side. I bought a Mac. I know this may not be earth shattering for most of you, but to a die hard, tried and true PC lover like myself it’s like the end of the world or perhaps the beginning. Time will tell.

To tell you the truth I didn’t even have Mac on the brain. Sure, a few months I got my notebook envy was in full force when my friend Rebecca got her Macbook, but the notion of me buying one only last a few hours. I couldn’t bear the idea of trading in my precious spring green Dell for anything. She’s served me well over the last year. Still, I admit, that hi-tech touch pad had me seeing the grass on the other side of the fence.

How was I to know that the opportunity to jump that fence would fall into my lap? I just happened to surf eslcafe looking for a used bike when I came across a post advertising a six month old new style Macbook for 1,200,000Won. With 800,000won knocked off the retail price that’s a deal hard to pass up even for a PC enthusiast like myself.

It’s been a few days and I still can’t really figure out my new Macbook. I haven’t even named it yet. Working with a Mac is just alien. I haven’t gotten used to not having a mouse. The office software is just so foreign. I find myself constantly looking for things in the wrong place. I’m thinking I just need more time with it. The features seem endless and I need to figure them all out. I also have to decide whether to keep my PC or just sell it.

The Mac Specs are: 2.0GHz

* Intel Core 2 Duo

* 2GB DDR3 Memory

* 160GB hard drive1

* NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics

* Standard keyboard

* Aluminum unibody

I have to admit, it is sleek and sexy.

    Rob: Thanks for the links, I needed them! I think the dish was called hannam? My spelling is atrocious but I believe it was a disintegrating fish dish!
