Ali Baba

In the mood for Egyptian delicacies? Then look no further than Ali Baba in Itaewon. To be honest, I had no idea what exactly Egyptian food would look like. I figured that it couldn’t be like other Middle Eastern food if they took the trouble to highlight that it was specifically Egyptian.
However, the food, for the most part, turned out to be the typical middle eastern fare you would expect: swarma, hummus, falaffel, babaganoush, etc. I had the swarma sandwich and it turned out to be quite tasty.
Someone ordered a mixed dish plate and that brought a smile to everyone’s face.
The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is pleasant. Drop by if you’re craving a bite of the middle east.
