KMK: Samarikant Uzbek Food in Seoul

A few weeks my friends Ian and Kalli and I joined the Seoul Eats meet up. The place of choice this time around was Samarikant Uzbek Food in Seoul near exit Five of Dongdaemun Stadium. The neighborhood is chock full of Russian and Eastern European restaurants. Luckily for us Dan and his posse were already there waiting by exit 5 otherwise it might have been a little tricky finding the spot. It’s a like a rabbit warren of little alleyways and streets.

Once we made it to the restaurant we wasted no time ordering. We went the sample route ordering a ton of dishes for everyone to try. I really liked the Chez Biz, fried lamb over frenche fries with onions, as well as the samsa, which is a pastry stuffed with lamb and onions. It was delish. They don’t forget about the veggies either. There was a simple carrot salad that was scrumptious. Golsovy is a cabbage and pepper dish filled with meat.

Take exit five at Dongdaemun Stadium.  Walk until you see a Woori bank, go left and it’s a few spots before the A+ Noraebang. If you get lost call the restaurant or ask someone on the street.
