She may seem like an overnight sensation, but teenage songbird IU (이지은) has been struggling to fly in the Korean music scene since her 2008 debut, Lost and Found, dropped DOA.
Despite not finding an audience early on she continued to walk the walk and do what she loves, proving that a girl with actual talent can make it in the cutthroat Kpop world without a super-mega-conglomerate agency behind her name: I’m looking at you JYP, SM, and YG
IU is a unique dove in a sky full of eagles. She may not be the flashiest or the fiercest, but she does her better than anyone else. She has two songs, Good Day and Someday, on the charts with no signs of slowing up. The second track is actually from her TV show Dream High.
The MV for Good Day is odd. Very Odd, but not in a creepy, stalkerish she needs to be medicated way, but more like a I may eat my hair but I’m harmless way. Plus, wWhat’s up with the Opa loving parrot? And the feather guy on the bike?
