KMK: Patisserie Michot

Cafes Food

Patisserie Michot brings a little bit of Parisian flair to the streets of Itaewon. This little bakery and cafe is the brain child of French Korean chef Grégoire Michot. Born in Busan but bred in the cities of France Michot started his pastry adventures at La Tour d’Argent in Paris. In Korea he co-founded and became chef of Maison Giwa in Insadong. Now, with Patisserie Michot, Grégoire has found an outlet to share his love of Parisian pastry with the city of his birth.

On any given day you can find a host of homemade baked goods that would satisfy even the toughest Parisian critic. A closer look at the counter tops and shelves reveal Lemon tarts with meringue (6,000KRW), Blueberry tarts (7,000), Choux with Pralin cream (5,800), Macaroons (coffee, raspberry, pistachio, coconut, chocolate, vanilla, lemon, blueberry, at 2,000), Croissants (2,000), Chocolate and Vanilla Eclairs (5,000) and a variety of breads and muffins.

He uses 100% French flour and his ingredients are all imported from France.

There’s also an admirable selection of teas and coffees to have alongside your pastry.
