Feeling a bit peckish, my brother and I decided to take the plunge and discover the finer points of Korean Traditional bakery. We found such a place nearby and even though I couldn’t decipher the Korean (yeah I suck) it didn’t take any Sherlock Holmesian sleuthing to deduce that the wholesome bready goodness in the air could only mean we found our destination.
Inside the place seemed a little too old lady tea time with crumpets, but we settled in for a piping hot cup of coffee and some hopefully delicious baked dessert.
The proprietor didn’t disappoint. He set us up with a selection of cakes and cookies at a more than reasonable price. Combined with the mocha java it proved to be a perfect respite from the chilly weather outside.
So don’t get too comfortable with the westerna pastries and cookies. Have a little adventure and branch out into those unexplored avenues of Korean baked goods. For every face scrunching what-did-I-just-eat moment I guaranty you’ll find a morsel of heaven.

I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don’t know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.
Didn’t know that bakery was a traditional thing in Korea… >>I don’t think the Chinese characters & the western interior fit together
