A few weeks ago Rebecca and I headed for the Korean War Memorial to check out the Rollingball exhibit. When I first heard of the Rollingball I conjured visions of a huge bowling ball rolling around the war memorial. Unsurprisingly, I wasn’t even close!
If funds are tight I recommend skipping the Rollingball and seeing the war memorial instead. However, if you have the 12,000won to spare then its a minor diversion on a lazy weekend afternoon.
Inside the ball in question is a marble, a bunch of them actually, all bouncing and spinning and rolling around twisted metal constructs with zany turns and loops.
The intricacies of each exhibit are truly amazing. Things get interactive when you have the opportunity to plop a marble at the starting point and watch it go through its journey of motion.
A children’s section puts all the fun to be had in the hands of little kids run amok! Watch your fingers and toes as the tykes run roughshod over the entire place. Cute.
Altogether I think I wouldn’t do it again, but if you’re in the area definitely check out the war memorial itself.
