Editor’s Note: The Waffle Factory has closed.
How do you spend your Sundays? Do you crawl from bed at three in the afternoon, smelling like cigarette smoke, nursing a hangover and still wearing Saturday night’s clothes or do you bounce out of bed at nine am ready to take on the day with a big grin on your face? Either way, I have the perfect start to your Sunday mornings or afternoons: Waffles!
That’s right. What better way to begin your Sunday than a mouth watering helping of fruit topped and maple syrup smothered waffle goodness? This past Sunday I experienced the tasty pleasures of The Waffle Factory in Itaewon. The aroma of freshly made waffles will have you squirming in your pants as you wait for your order to arrive.
I went for the waffle combination which comes with bacon, eggs, potatoes, sausages, and, of course, a big fluffy waffle topped with blackberries. The place is tiny so don’t bolt if you have to wait a few before getting a table because it will definitely be worth the wait.
You can find the The Waffle Factory at Noksapyeong Station Exit two. Just walk straight and you’ll see it across the street. Take the underground walkway.
I will be in Seoul with my wife, this weekend, to pick up her mom from the airport: now we know where to eat breakfast!
