A couple weekends ago I went with to Seoul Grand Park. Grand Park encompasses the Zoo, a lake, a Rose Garden, the museum of contemporary art and the Seoul Land amusement park.
The day started off a little dreary, but sure enough the sun came out and blazed for the rest of the day. People packed the zoo, but it wasn’t an unmanageable mob.
On the walk to the entrance you can find dozens of makeshift shops with people selling cookies, rice cakes, cotton candy, fruits, fish, squids, and doughnuts.
This was some museum of future technology that happened to be shut down. Maybe for renovations. The future needed an update, I guess.
The rose garden was pretty much dead, but I bet it will be spectacular in the summer once everything is blooming.
My green man imitation.
The mini children’s zoo inside the main zoo was one of the bright spots of the day. I think peacocks put on the display to attract a mate, but this guy seemed more in the mood for war than love as he made feints at the kiddies who came to admire him.
The monkeys were another big attraction at the children’s zoo.
Can’t forget the llamas. I think they were llamas.
Steven and Angela give there imposing Masai warrior pose.
The kangaroos and wallabes were a hoot and a half.
Now I see where that Kangraroo Jack movie got their inspiration from.
It seemed fun on the outside but inside didn’t live up to the INSECTARIUM!!!! hype. And is that Jiminy Cricket?
Gorgeous bird! I wonder what it tastes like?
Hmmm, chickens in the zoo?
I think the afro puts me at 200.
Thats it for the zoo. I’ll probably go back for the Rose Garden in full bloom. It’s definitely worth a stop. Seoul Grand Park Station Exit 2!
