KTX-Busan Bound

Friday afternoons things jumped off for my weekend getaway at Seoul Station where I met my friend Jose. Seoul Station is one of the boarding stations for Korail’s KTX. The high speed train goes to the far flung corners of Korea. I had reserved my seat in the first class section a few days before. I’m glad I did because the extra 20,000won was more than worth it for the extra comfy chairs and leg room.Jose booked late and ended up in the standard train movie car. One look at that car and I feared he’d need chiropractor once we arrived. Back in first class I leaned back to enjoy a smooth ride. On the train you can buy everything from a 90,000won bottle of pomegranite juice to 400,000won designer rice cake. I passed on the shopping.
The countryside between Seoul and Busan may be some of the most beautiful and interesting terrain on earth. I wouldn’t know because after a quick pic I soon found myself lulled to sleep. The trip takes three hours, but before I knew it we were pulling into Busan Station! Next up: Texas Street!

Wow! I’m impressed with the train station and the train! I think that’s good omen for a good trip! Not that I was impressed, but that your trip has kicked off to a good start! :)

Can’t wait to see the scenery of Busan. I’m not sure if I’ve ever been there…
