KMK: Seouls First World DJ Festival

Starting on Friday night Seoul’s First World DJ Festival hits the city and blows away your eardrums for three consecutive nights. The festivities go down at Nanji area of Hangang Citizen’s Park near the World Cup Stadium in North West Seoul.

Last night my coworkers and a friend scooted over there around eleven and people packed the park grooving to Mondo Grosso, Dr. Motte, and Claude Von Stroke who hit us heavy and hard with Drum & Bass blasts that burst eardrums and the crowd roar.

The festival brought all types from tiny tots with their parents, to tatted teenage terrors, tripped out twenty somethings and the thirty plus crowd all coming together to feel the music. We stayed till four am and the party still danced on. The party rolls on today, Sunday, so check it out if you can or check out these links:

The current joke amongst my mates (one is dj’ing at said festival) is that the organisers overlooked one small detail: the international DJs !Most are local. Only in Korea ….
