KMK: Seoul Plaza Winter’s Story

Events Lifestyle

The Hi Seoul Festival of Lights continues with the South Pole Experience and Exhibition! This event recreates South Korea’s South Pole outpost right smack in the middle of Seoul out in front of City Hall. The entire experience includes an exhibit on the flora and fauna of the south pole, an introduction to the Antarctic King Sejong station as well as the staff, an outside exhibition zone featuring life at the station, a recreation of the aurora polar lights, and a photo display.

I had no idea Korea had an Antarctic station. They even have an installation where a lottery system will be used to determine a winner who will be able to call down an talk to the folks at the station live via video chat. How awesome is that?

When my friend Ian and I went they were still putting the finishing touches on the exhibit so by now everything should be fully up and running smoothly.
