KMK: Hair today, you know the rest

Health & Beauty Lifestyle

Call me crazy, but I just do not get this whole hoopla over Britney’s shaved head. I think she looks hot in a heroin-chic-I-just-sold-my-hair-for-drugs kind of way. Really, what is the big deal? It’s only hair. Natalie Portman shaved her head for that movie V for Vendetta and she got praised and petted as if she’d just created a new Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream flavor.

Yes, Ms. Spears has been a nut case lately, running around Las Vegas flashing her unmentionables everywhere while hanging with that racist skank Paris Hilton, but come on! If shaving her head makes the country ready to commit her to an asylum then I fear for the rest of us. Heaven forbid, I shave my sideburns-I might end up on a sofa in the company of Dr. Phil. Shoot me before that ever happens, ok?

The media acts as if Britney’s luscious locks were spun from the sunshine beaming out of the heavens. Maybe it was. I mean, I always questioned her talent or lack there of. She dazzled the nation into believing she was an artist worth listening to by flashing that golden wave of brilliance and blindsiding the onlookers. Like Samson, her power resided in the hair, and with that gone her appeal to her fans is on the verge of drying up. Fine with me. I just wish they would stop reporting on it in the news. I always preferred Christina anyway.
