The coronavirus is continuously affecting the economy of various countries. However, among all those countries that have managed to control the outbreak of this deadly virus, South Korea is probably one such country that tops the list. South Korea produces thousands of testing kits daily. The country even plans to export them to those countries where there is a shortage of corona testing kits and add medicine.

When the virus started to slowly spread across South Korea, the health officials immediately took action against the deadly virus by collaborating with several medical companies to mass-produce corona testing kits. 

How COVID 19 spread in South Korea?

During the last weeks of February, the total number of confirmed cases of COVID 19 started to grow at an exponential rate. Around 100 confirmed cases were showing up in a single day. Fortunately, within a week, the number of positive cases started to slow down and kept on decreasing.

So far, the total number of infected cases seem to be growing at a rapid pace in several countries across the globe. They are affecting the economies and trade activities on global levels. Where European countries confirm hundreds of positive cases daily; the number of deaths in South Korea seems to be reducing day by day. 

South Korea suffer any economic crisis or damage 

Initially, South Korea and China were severely affected by the outbreak of the virus. However, unlike China, South Korea didn’t take any harsh preventive measures. Moreover, it didn’t have to suffer any economic crisis or damage as it didn’t go through any lockdown. 

The methods used by South Korea are practical and straightforward 

With more than 165,000 reported deaths from the deadly virus worldwide, a lot of European countries are planning to adopt a strategy similar to South Korea for controlling the outbreak. Although the methods used by South Korea appear to be difficult, however, in reality, they are very practical and straightforward. Previously, a lot of countries were hesitant about adopting these methods. However, when they decided to adopt them, the virus had already spread at a rate that was hard to control. 

South Korean government has cautioned the possibility of a resurgence 

Moreover, the French and Swedish governments have asked for President Moon Jae-in’s guidance on controlling the deadly virus. Even the WHO has applauded South Korea on effectively controlling the virus. The WHO even advised other countries to follow the same methods adopted by the South Korean government to control the virus. Nevertheless, the South Korean government has cautioned the possibility of a resurgence as such epidemics tend to relapse before completing finishing. 

The FDA praised South Korea on controlling the outbreak of the deadly disease

Scott Gottlieb, the former member of the FDA, praised South Korea on Twitter on how it controlled the outbreak of the deadly disease. According to a report published by the Guardian, it was revealed that the main reason behind the outspread of this viral disease is still unknown. However, the virus usually spreads from person to person. Therefore, the best way to prevent coronavirus is by washing hands with soap several times throughout the day. 

The corona outbreak and church congregation 

One of the major benefits that South Korea had was the fact that it detected the main area where the virus started to spread in the country. It spread out from the church congregation and the country immediately imposed restrictions on the area.

South Korea is among those few countries that have tested the most number of people, making the process of detection and treatment more quick and efficient. So far, South Korea has conducted more than 300,000 corona tests. Testing is crucial as it reduces the chances of further transmission of the virus. This helps people to get the right treatment for the virus and recover from it in time. 

In order to prevent COVID 19, avoid touching your face, especially your eyes and nose. Make sure to cover your mouth when sneezing or coughing. Try to use masks whenever you go out in public. In case you are not feeling well, try to avoid going out, especially in crowded places.


Avoid going to restaurants. If you need to go out, then use small wet towels or a sanitizer to keep your hands clean. There is a shortage of high-quality sanitizers and masks in the market. However, you can make one at home using natural materials.
