Korea Queer Festival 2016
2016 marks the 17th Annual Korea Queer Festival. The event runs from June 11th through June 19th, 2016. This y year’s slogan “Queer I am” sums up the out and proud sensibility of those putting on and attending the festivities. It’s a bold proclamation in the face of hate and bigotry that reared its head at last year’s 15th Annual festival and will no doubt reappear this coming Saturday.
The events include the Festival grounds, Stage performances, Pride Parade, Main Party, and the Korea Queer Film Festival.
All events are produced by the Organizing Committee of Korea Queer Culture Festival. This Saturday June 11th LGBT folks as well as their friends and family in Korea and from across the globe who are living in Seoul will come together to represent dignity, love, and most definitely pride. Korea may not be at the forefront of the Gay rights movement but those who are here are fighting the good fight. They will need your support as the forces arrayed against them will show up armed with their hateful signs and bigoted intentions. Stand on the right side of history all the while having a blast of a good time.
