Lifestyle Queer

Get sucked back into the 80’s with “Take Me On”, a night of music and dancing outside of the hill. On Saturday, June 8th put on your Converse and neon rainbow colors and head to Club Powwow in Noksapyeong.

This blast from the past includes two live Korean bands, Yukari and Electricity Flowing, followed by dance hits from the 80’s- both Korean and International. The evening will kick-off at 9pm and go until 1am, with an after party to follow at Moon Night. The price of admission is 10,000won, but remember it is Bring Your Own Favorite Beverage!

DON’T FORGET: This is a theme party, people, so bring out your inner Madonna, and her clothes!, and let’s color this town neon.

Come as you are, gay or straight, just save the date.

“Take Me On” is an effort to diversify Seoul’s gay nightlife by holding events outside of Homo Hill, at various straight bars in the city. The idea is inspired by “Guerrilla Queer Bar”, a gay take over of straight bars that originated in San Francisco in 2000. The original event has influenced many gay communities across the world to adopt this notion of diversification and integration into other nightlife communities. Help us make it a regular event by sporting your favorite neons at this 80’s theme party.

Club Powwow, June 8th, 9pm-1am.
