Over in Gyeongridan there’s a new bakery shop wowing the neighborhood. Monster Cupcakes whips up homemade cupcake goodness that not only satisfies your sweet tooth but also gives you a feast for the eyes. Love and care goes into each cupcake to make it a masterpiece. just a few of the varieties on hand are strawberry, vanilla, lemon, mint, apple cinnamon, blueberry, green tea, coffee, chocolate, red velvet, tiramisu, and dark chocolate. Each has a particular flair with monster faces made of frosting or whimsical butterflies or leaves.

The small bakery has a kitschy pop culture vibe born out of a fifties monster movie. You know the kind you’s see on Elvira or Mystery Science Theater 3000. They also serve up teas, coffees, blended yogurts and juices. Cupcakes range from 4,000 krw to 5,000 krw.

Directions:

From noksapyeoung exit 2 walk straight. When you reach the underground pass go down and come up on the left side. Go to the corner, cross, and go right and walk staright. Monster Cupcakes will be on your left after a minute or two.

  1. These cupcakes are definitely overpriced and not even that tasty. I think it’s better to just make your own cupcakes at home and save that money, hahaha!
