If you’re a gamer then no doubt you know all about Final Fantasy. If you’re not a gamer then let me explain that Final Fantasy (FF) is one of if not the most loved and played video game series ever developed. It’s been going strong for twenty years and is the brain child of Japanese game designer extraordinaire Hironobu Sakaguchi. Since it’s inception way back in 1987 the series has consistently heralded story, plot, characterization and music as hallmarks of it’s brand. When you play a Final Fantasy game you know you’re in for a roller coaster ride of action, emotion, visual and sonic delights that will keep the controller glued in your hand for countless hours.
To that end the folks at Square Enix have produced several concert series since 2002 bringing the music of Final Fantasy to the fans. The latest incarnation is titled Distant Worlds scored by Nobuo Uematsu. The program features a two hour set by Arnie Roth conducting the Prime Philharmonic Orchestra. The musical selections from every Final Fantasy game have been included in the program.
The event was being held at the Seongnam Art Center in Bundang near Imae station.
