Seoul Art Space is on a mission. This progressive organization transforms old crumbling buildings into art spaces for creative expression. Throughout the city and neighboring Suburbs unused factories, abandoned apartments, and foreclosed stores become useful once again, but this time not as instruments of commerce but of imagination zones.
Located in Seogyo, Geumchon, Sindang, Yeonhi, and Mullae these spaces present an active community for both Korean and international artists to interact, live, collaborate, and thrive together. To this end each Art Space has resident studios, hostel rooms, work rooms and practice rooms. Artists from a wide range of disciplines participate including installation, video, performance, visual, and experimental.
Residency can be from short (4months), middle (6 months), to long (1 year). To find out more about Seoul Art Space and to apply for the program visit the Seoul Art Space Website.
