Sometimes you need a break from the claustrophobic confines of a bar. Sure the subterranean closeness can bestow a certain intimacy but then again there’s something to be said for a bright open space. That’s what Between, the latest hotspot to pop up in Itaewon, is all about.
The first thing you’ll notice about this swanky tapas and wine bar is the front side glass terrace that’s able to open up on sunny days for a cool breeze or close on nippy morning for some gray sky musings. It’s magnetic walking by and seeing people wining and dining in pleasure and once you’ve been drawn inside you’ll discover what all the fuss is about.
The modern style of chrome and browns is simple but effective. There’s nothing garish or overdone in sight. A few spots of greenery amidst the ample seating and its apparent that Between is about facilitating conversation among big groups of friends or families. Couples need not worry since the second floor has a select key spots that will surely provide a cone of privacy.
The lunch menu includes salads, pastas, and sandwiches from 12,000 to 24,000 KRW. On the weekends there’s brunch with offerings of eggs Benedict, Between Burger, rib eye steak, pork ribs, American breakfast, or fish and chips ranging from 13,000 to 30,000 KRW. There’s also an extensive wine selection and a dessert menu to match.
