Chocolatyum in Hongdae. It’s no secret that I have an insatiable sweet tooth. My dessert of choice most often than not tends to be chocolate. Milk, dark, or white, it’s all good to me. So, it should come as no surprise that when my nose detected the cocoa flavored goodness on the streets of Hongdae that I had to track it down.
I ended up outside of Chocolatyum a shop specializing in homemade chocolates. Inside the intimate little shop is like being in someone’s kitchen. There’s a few chairs and tables to sit down, but most of the space is reserved for the shelves of chocolates, cakes, cookies, and candies on display. While not as lavish as Il Cacao in Gangnam, it’s also not as pricey, Chocolatyum shouldn’t be overlooked when you need some quick chocolate satisfaction while in Hongdae.
You can find Chocolatyum near the little park in Hongdae just down from Casa Maya.
This is the most famous confectionery in Hongdae. It gets a lot of business and also sells other desserts such as madeleines and other baked goods. Thanks for the article!
