Butterfinger Pancakes is an american style diner with undiner like prices. Not outrageously undiner like, but enough to raise your eyebrows. The Butterfingers Rebecca and I descended upon just opened up in our hood of Gangnam. The other one, in Apujeong, isn’t that far until the thought of waiting in line for an hour deters us from making the trip.
I suspect the lines will become longer in the Gangnam location, but they just opened so maybe the word hasn’t spread yet. Inside the place has a modern urban feel with an orange and gray palette accented by blues, whites, and yellows. The space is open and airy with bright smiling attractive waiters waiting to assist you. I’ll take two in my doggy bag to go please.
Of course with a name like Butterfingers Pancakes you know breakfast is the name of this dining game. And they don’t disappoint. Pancakes? Check. Waffles? Check. French toast? Check. Bacon, eggs any style, hash browns? Check, check, and check. The menu doesn’t stop at breakfast either. Mashed potatoes and gravy, mac n’ cheese, and a bevy of sandwiches are yours to choose from. Overwhelmed with the choices I decided on the classic favorites of pancakes, bacon, hash browns and eggs. Rebecca went for the beef stew, mac n’ cheese, and blueberry pancakes.
The agent orange mac n’ cheese looked as if the whole truck of cheddar cheese was used in its creation. The dish looked great, but didn’t leave too much of an impression either way.
The beef stew came brimming with mushrooms, greenbeans and carrots and beef! Savory, once sprinkled liberally with salt and pepper, though the beef was slightly dry.
The pancakes are definitely the reason to go to Butterfingers. Becca’s blueberry pancakes were delightful. I wanted to order up some of my own.
Next time you’re in Gangnam and feeling like a bite of breakfast hop into Butterfingers. They are located down the street a dozen yards or so from Bennigans and down the block from California Pizza Kitchen.

There is also a Butterfingers in Bundang. It’s down the street from Jeongja station. Although the prices are a tad on the steep side the pancakes are super yum, and they have free refills on soda!

Thanks for the heads up! I had no idea Butterfingers had expanded down to Bundang.
I've been looking for a place that serves good American breakfast. Thank you so much for posting this. Also thanks for letting me know that there was a CPK. I was talking about CPK to my friend from America and he was lost. Wierd. I'll be sure to take him to both these places.
Don’t forget original pancake story!
