Okay, I was window shopping in Gangnam with a bud when we happened to wander into BASIC HOUSE. If you don’t know Basic House don’t worry because its just another in a long line of clothing stores in the mold of The Gap. Got it?
Okay, so there we are checking out the clothes or rather there my friend was since all that stuff could actually fit him while for me it would be like trying to squeeze into my old baby clothes. Damn you Korean sizes!
Anyway, while skimming along a Tshirt rack we came across this pretty picture.
Now is that wrong or is that wrong? Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. I mean, yeah I have a crass sense of humor sometimes and, yeah a tasteless joke can be funny, come on! It isn’t just me, right? Please tell me I am not overreacting.
It's pretty good, I'm not so susceptible !
I don't think it's in very good taste and I cannot imagine anyone actually wearing it. What would one say to them? Are you nuts?
I don't think Verena's comparison was improper at all. Some things should just be off limits for commercial humor — the nazi regime, september 11, etc — and I think it shows an incredible lack of couth that someone would exploit this image to make money.
Oh … I know where I go tomorrow and what I am going to buy. </></>Hi Verena – what an improper comparison! Oh, I forgot, the Germans were the victims of the war. Me culpa. </></>Regards A. S.
Definitely fucked up!!</>I love Basic House, but have never seen clothes this outlandish! :(</>Makes me sad…
You definitely are not overreacting! I'm German and it is like somebody is doing a really bad joke about the Nazi time. Or doing a ads which includes some Nazi elements … like a Korean company did.
Wow that is wrong! I hope no one actually buys it…sigh
