KMK: My New Pad

Culture Lifestyle

Here’s my new home away from home. The apartment is in Seocho near Seoul University. I really like the area. Work is about a thirty minute walk so no more three minute jaunts like a had before.

The apartment building is an officetel. I was psyched as before I just had a regular apartment. The prospect of a new and shiny officetel with all the amenities had be in the grip of anticipation. From what I had read officetels came with washer drier combos, easily concealed and tucked away wardrobes, as well as showers with actual stalls and doors and ready to plug in internet and cable with brownies fresly baked with a tall glass of milk just waiting to be devoured by you.

Needless to say my officetel just didn’t quite meet that expectation. Nevertheless, depsite the small shoebox size, my pad isn’t that bad. I doubt I will be having a house warming party as it would most likely be a room warming.

I might have been able to find something better, but with no place to store my stuff and my last apartment about to be occupied, it was just easier and simpler to take the housing my new school offered.

I’ll spruce it up some and make it work.

  1. Aww, and they gave you a pretend refrigerator and everything! Isn't that cute? 🙂 Welcome to the wonderful world of officetel living.
