KMK: The Fairy Flyer

Shopping

I’ve posted before about all the stuff you can buy on the Seoul Subway system. It lliterally is an underground shopping paradise. I’ve never bought anything on the subway. Usually the things just weren’t up my alley or I didn’t really need them. You know, kitchen gadgets, umbrellas, hats, pet outfits, but that changed the other day when I stumbled across a guy selling toys.

Not just any toys, but mini flying copters. He had them zooming around the subway station buzzing around people’s heads, diving, and climbing. Yeah, I’m a bit old for toys and I orignally rationalized my purchase by telling myself it was for my nephew, but who am I kidding? It’s mine! And you know you want your very own Fairy heliocopter too. It was 25,000 Won, pricey for a subway car purchase, but I will get my money’s worth.

Have you broken down and purchased any subway merchandise? Do tell!

  1. I need to follow your lead and start shopping on the subway as well. Well, only on the way home because otherwise you're stuck with all that stuff for the day.

  2. Are you kidding? What <>don't<> I buy in subway stations? Clothes, shoes, earrings, scarves… I haven't yet bought from a guy selling on the subway, though I think I really should before I finally leave for good…
