KMK: Cambodia – Wrapping it Up

International Travel

Well this is the last post about Cambodia. Can you believe it? I can’t it seems like I’ve been posting about it forever. It will be like saying goodbye to a favorite pet.

Sheila’s expression sums up all the bad parts of the trip including the accident, stolen cameras, and malaria vaccination overdoses.
The youngster reminds me of all the really nice and friendly people we met while in Cambodia.

Some Signs just have to be photographed.

Manhood Therapy? Sexflexology? Things that make you go Hmmm.

One thing I did love about Cambodia was all the great food and drinks! You could eat really well on just a few dollars. When I say well I am talking about fine good that a quality restaurant back home in the states would serve up. Delicious and fresh fish, all the veggies you could ask for and Cambodian and Vietnamese dishes overflowing the tables.

We ate so well that it felt obscene, well maybe not to that extreme, but you will understand once you get there.

Of course Sam wasn’t satisfied with the Khemer cooking and needed another appetizer.

The Blue Pumpkin was my favorite place in town. It’s a sleek stylish minmalist pastry and coffee shop that served up tasty treats to tantalize the taste buds. It’s definitely worth a visit.

On the way home we experienced the chaos of Vietnamese Airlines.

First, our flight was delayed. No, biggie, it happens, except of course it keeps getting pushed back and pushed back and then cancelled and then, wait a minute, its back, but look out its pushed back and then cancelled.

Better communication would have helped from the staff.
So we basically camped out at the airport. Comfortable, right?

Actually, Sam does look pretty comfy. Vietnamese Airlines had promised to put people up in a hotel, but that idea got squashed and it was chairs and floors instead.

Here is the beginnnings of the riot of angry flyers, when it was announced that no hotel accomodations would be provided.
After surviving the chaos of blaket gate, wherein screaming travellers fought tooth and nail to grab a flimsy blue blanky, we tried to get some shut eye.
Much like everyone else.

We did get home without crashing which is always a plus when flying! Cya next time Cambodia!
