We stopped for lunch at the Village of Tongilchon. This village serves as a small community for the soldiers and their families to live. It’s also a pit stop on the DMZ tour.
We were served a traditional Korean meal that not proved to be quite good. Any meal with kimchi is okay by me.

Afterward, we wandered around the small town, town is pushing it since there were only a few buildings.

There were crops growing everywhere and people tending the fields and vegetables. Even with the tax free zone I guess times are hard and its just easier to grow your own food. Maybe they sell it in the town shop as DMZ vegggies and barley and rice.

The chicken coop which was right next to the goat cage, with a small dividing section that served as there own mini dmz.
I don’t know. I found the whole dmz thing to be so overrated. I wanted to feel like I was walking between two warring countries and I got none of that.
Sorry you didn’t enjoy yourself. I found it to be worth the trip, but I haven’t been back.
