KMK: Bangkok – Dusit Zoo

Let’s face it: a zoo is a zoo no matter where in the world you are. From the city of Angels to the jewel of the Nile if you’ve seen one zoo you’ve seen them all. Well, that’s not necessarily so. You see I figure if you’re in a far off distant strange place like Thailand there must be at least one creature never before seen by my eyes.

And I was right! I don’t remember the name of the critter, but ti sure was friendly and definitely strange. It reminded me of a character on a Saturday morning cartoon show like a Care Bear or a Gummi Bear. You remember, right? “Gummi Bears, bouncing here and there and everywhere!” No? Nevermind.

After my photo session with the crazy critter the rest of the zoo was kind of a snoozer. White Tigers! Yeah, yeah they’re so nineteen nineties Las Vegas. Giraffes and Elephants! Anything made into an Animal Cracker can’t get me so excited. Ostrich! Only if it’s on the menu. So I said farewell to the Dusit zoo and left in search of true adventure.
