KMK: Cambodia – Angkor Wat

International Travel

I think most of the photos speak for themselves. Angkor Wat the signature temple of all those in Siem Reap.

Angkor Wat is surrounded by a huge moat. Around this area children and parents picnic and shopkeepers peddle souvenirs from their little stands. Water. Books. Food. Cameras. Anything can be had for your trip into the Angkor.

Tourists were everywhere. The lonely planted guide gives tips on when the best times are to visit the temple to avoid stampedes. Sometimes it was tough getting a shot without any innocent bystanders getting in the way.

The wall friscoes and reliefs and crumbling statues ran throughout the temple.

It felt like mountain climbing scaling some of those steps. A wrong foot and it would have been a long drop down.

Inside the temple was in full swing with people praying or dropping off an offering.

The views from the top of the temple were impressive.

Everywhere you looked there was something new to explore.

No need to do cardio, just climbed the Angkor Wat steps and you’re set.

Bye Angkor Wat, Hello Angkor Thom!

  1. It looks like a very mysterious place. I wonder what it is like at night. Hope all is well! Ginger is having her “little time” and is very affectionate. She sends her love!
