Editor’s Note: Solutions is now closed
I have a tragedy to report; my laptop computer, Mona, has become deathly ill and may be on her deathbed. It all went down this past Sunday when I upgraded with some new shiny memory. She had been chugging along on 512 but I thought a gig would do her some good.I also bought a nice shiny new digital camera and installed the software which must have gone all buggy on me. Well, either that or the electro static charge that zapped poor Mona to an inch of life.Anyway, I reinstalled my OS, which I luckily brought with me, however I unluckily forgot to back up my system so I lost my music and photos and every document I had filed away. Sucks to be me. To make matters worse even after the new install Mona began giving me the cold shoulder, freezing at inopportune times and forcing me to reboot and start the vicious freezing cycle all over again.
So I did what any esl teacher in Seoul with only a bare minimum grasp of the Korean Language would do: I scooted over to the nearest PC Bang and logged onto Daves Esl for some tips and tricks. I cruised the forums and discovered Solutions in Itaewon. Here is a map just in case you need their services. They speak english which is a must when your Korean skills only amount to the word Kimbap and lots of smiling and gesturing.
I explained my problem and hopefully the guys at Solutions will return my Mona to me alive and kicking. If not it will be off to TechnoMart or Yongsan to replace her. I know rebounding is bad and its good to take a breather, but I just can’t live without a laptop or PC of some kind.
Hopefully the Techno gods are smiling down on me so I can dance the information superhighway with Mona once again.
