KMK: Down & Dirty!

KmKorner Opinion

It’s on! Finally, after weeks of coy smiles and batted lashes and sweet promises of cuddling and smooches on the campaign trail, the gloves have come off. Funny enough, the first shot wasn’t fired by either Obama or Clinton, but instead by the godfather of the Gay Hollywood Mafia: David Geffen. I should point out that I don’t even know if there is a GHM, but it sure is fun to imagine one! I can just picture these tailored Armani suit wearing gym bunnies, zooming around LA in their Miatas headed for the next pool party where Matthew Broderick awaits hogtied, nervously anticipating his pistol whipping, with diamond studded Tiffany 9mm’s, for the mess he made of The Producers The Movie.

Anyway, Geffen, who threw Obama a lavish fund raising bash that raised a cool million, dissed Hillary by calling her and her husband “practiced liars”. A slam like that calls for a good old fashioned Batman Series special effect:

Now, anyone sane would think that Hillary and her camp would:

A) Keep a silent but disdainful air of moral superiority.
B) Accuse Geffen of being disloyal.
C) Label Geffen a bitter old queen with jungle fever hungering for a piece of the Barack.

Mrs. Clinton did none of the above. Instead, people from her camp attacked Obama, calling him a hypocrite for not washing his hands of Geffen after Barack hooped and hollered about running a clean campaign. Now that’s some sly mess right there. Obama never said a word about Hillary and Geffen is not part of the Barack camp, so why should he have to give back the fundraising money or apologize?

Obama issued a statement that not only will he not disown Geffen, nobody wants to piss off the GHM, but also that he, Barack, fails to understand why he should apologize for someone else’s remarks. Exactly.

It all tells me that Hillary feels the pressure of a Barack Presidential candidacy. She’s trying to disrupt his momentum and if it means tossing a few stones to break up his flow then she’s not above that. I wonder how far she will go as the days and weeks and months brings us closer to the Primary elections? I smell mud in the air.
