I just heard from my director and my Visa has been processed! I should be receiving it this week, I hope.
He’s arranging my flight over now and I should be arriving in Korea the last week of March if everything goes as planned.
I also just found out that Bally’s Total Fitness has a branch in Seoul! This is fantastic since I thought I would have to put my membership on hiatus. Now, I think, I can just use the branch in Seoul. To make sure I’ll check with my local branch to see if my membership will work in international locations. I hope it will. I was worrying about getting my work out on and now those fears have been erased.
There are four Bally’s in Korea and from what I read there will be a fifth branch added this spring. The Korean Bally’s Site is mostly in Korean so I have no idea where those branches are but I will definitely find out.
I still have so much to do. I definitely want to start researching teaching tips and methodologies for new esl teachers. I want to be prepared with lesson plans and have any teaching materials I may need to bring with me. I know the school will provide materials, but it won’t hurt to bring along a few more things to help me out.
My mother has been teaching for over twenty years so I will definitely pick her brain for all the tricks of the trade I may need.

Hi. I just arrived in Seoul and am trying to find a gym – what is the cost/obligation of Bally’s?
Thanks!
