KMK: I Love the Rain

Arts Music
Yeah, yeah, hate me if you want to, but I will come out and confess that I love Rain. No, not the cool drizzle falling from the skies on a hot summer night, though I love that too, but the Korean version of Usher who has poplocked and shoulder rolled his way into my heart.

Yes, he’s styled to look like a plastic Ken doll and his photo shoots ooze enough cheese that you could pratically spread it on crackers, but I don’t blame Rain. I blame his handlers and image makers for all of that. I mean look at him; there can’t be much going on behind that perfectly posed face. I see twinkling stars in those eyes and maybe the latests installment of TRL.

Anyway, the powers that be have declared Rain to be the official singer for the 2008 Olympic game theme song. I can already see Rain shooting the video, clad in various Olympic atheletic gear while acting out the various sports with his dancers strutting in the background. No matter what he does he won’t top Bjork’s Olympic masterpiece of madness, but my fingers are crossed anyway.
