KMK: CRe8 Cookies

Cafes Food

Let me say that I would never be caught dead at Cre8 Cookies. Never, ever, in a million years would I be caught there except for those delicious cookies they serve. Why you ask? It’s simple: The place is girly. I mean GIRLY. Now don’t get me wrong. There’s nothing wrong with girly. But just as hyper masculine surroundings and atmosphere chokes one to death so does the hyper feminine. I swear it felt like I was walking into Barbie’s Dream House Kitchen and Coffee Nook or the Hello Kitty Cafe.

Dainty and frilly with cutesy mini flower pots and shades of pink pastel I doubt Unicorns even know of. I think my testicles shrank a little. But then I smelled that wonderful smell of cookies in the oven and I pranced myself to the nearest seat so I could order. I order, of course, chocolate chip, a couple peanut butter, and coconut.

I also ordered an Americano even though I wanted the hot chocolate, but I feared the sugar overload would be my undoing. So I dunk my cookies liberally into coffee instead. Who needs milk, anyway? Each cookie was moist, chewy, and perfect. The coffee proved to be a wise choice as these cookies are sweet, sweet, sweet with chunks of chocolate. To sum it up, Cookie Monster would be on the Most Wanted List on Sesame Street for these cookies.

These cookies cost a pretty penny: 6 piece small box for 12,000, 12 piece pink box for 24,000, or a 24 piece special box for 48,000. Thankfully, they use quality ingredients like organic flour, Belgium Chocolate, and fresh 100% pure milk butter. If that’s all too much cookie for you then there’s the option to buy them individually. Classic Chocolate Chip costs 1,900. Double Choco, Peanut Butter, M&M, and almost costs 2,000. And their seasonal special cookies are priced at 2,500 each.

  1. Nothing Else to Say at first bite and Yummy about it at my own self Cost selfishness $$$. I think in Asian culture-gender is a bite inexistant for this type of business it’s all about those cookies & quality that come with it. I will Say to everyone that want that “folie de gourmandise” bit and bite taste with a nice cold or warm tea or coffee – Spare some change let me try it and Bon Appétit !!

  2. Oh yum, this sounds amazing! I’m glad that there weren’t any Korean surprises in the cookie like the surprise crab that often comes in a Paris baguette sandwich! Coconut sounds amazing but, oh man, that is expensive! I have to ask, did you eat all 6 in one sitting? Did anyone help you?

  3. I know what you mean, hyper masculine spaces always make my ovaries shrink. Lol. Though, their aesthetic may be a bit much (I’m a less is more kind of girl myself) it sounds like their baking is on point. I’ve found that you always end up paying a premium for good baked treats in Korea because it’s not something most people do in their homes. Many people don’t have ovens or know how to bake. I know I’m a little more willing to pay for things I can’t easily make at home as well.

  4. “Let’s (not) Dough It” at 1,900-2,500krw a cookie! Haha what a rip off but at the same time I don’t make (for the fear of eating it all myself) and maybe a cookie or two every once in a while is just what the doctor ordered (an eye doctor, who is really into the cutesy freely stuff of this cafe). Good on you for getting caught in a place like that!

  5. How did you get there in the first place, if you don’t mind me asking? It’s funny that you say you don’t want to be caught dead in a place like that only to blog about your experience there, lol
My daughters will definitely love this place, though!
