KMK: Hello Kitty Cafe

Cafes Food

I have a question for you: Are you a die hard Hello Kitty fan or even a potential fan? It’s pretty easy to know whether you are or not. Just take the simple little quiz below.

A) Do you know who Hello Kitty is?

B) Do you own anything with Hello Kitty on it?

C) Do you love the color pink?

D) Are cats the most lovable squeezable cutest animals in the world?

If you answered yes to two or more of those questions then congratulations, because  I’ve found the perfect place in Seoul where you can blissfully idle away the hours while dreaming of rainbows, kitties, and pink skies: The Hello Kitty Cafe.

Nestled in the bosom of Hongdae the Hello Kitty Cafe will have your heart aflutter with all the pink cuteness. They’ve got Hello Kitty mugs, plates, utensils, napkins, chairs, cushions, dolls, and anything else you can imagine being stamped, molded, or morphed into that ubiquitous cat.

The menu has the usual suspects of coffees, teas, and juices. There are also waffles, breads, and even special Hello Kitty cakes where you can devour a miniature Hello Kitty effigy head. Satisfying, right?  Can’t forget the yogurt ice cream and the Hello Kitty shaped cookies. I half expected to see the staff with Hello Kitty stamped on their foreheads.

Gotta love that branding.

Directions:

So, you can find the Hello Kitty Cafe by making a left out of exit five of Honik station. Then make the first major right, go straight and cross the street at the light. Hello Kitty will be on the left up an Alleyway. Don’t worry I’m sure you’ll be able to spot the explosion of pink.
