KMK: Original Pancake Story

Food Restaurants

In the mood for a delicious breakfast experience? If so then I suggest heading over to Hannam Dong in order to partake of the breakfast treats on the menu at Original Pancake Story. This tiny eatery serves up pancake perfection. They don’t make deciding what to order easy. Pancakes can be had either original, buttermilk, apple banana, double banana, chocolate chip, cream cheese and mozzarella cheese, blueberry and crispy nut. Prices run between 5,500 KRW and 7,800 KRW.

Brunch

If pancakes won’t work for you there are quite a number of options. There’s French toast with either crispy flakes, whipped cream, cream cheese or strawberry jam. Belgian waffles are on hand with raspberry, chocolate, apple, cream cheese, bacon, fresh strawberry or peach. If it all looks so good you can’t decide then don’t worry. Ordering ala carte allows you to sample lots of different things. Single items include piggy in a blanket, waffle sandwich, eggs Benedict, waffle and smoked chicken, smoked chicken and salad, cereal, oatmeal, and clam chowder or corn soup. Prices are all under  10,500 KRW.

The Good:

Delicious breakfast for under 15,000 KRW. Pancakes to die for. Combination plates.

The Bad:

Once again it’s way too small. Sometimes you have to wait awhile. Closed on Sundays. That’s bad!

The Weird:

What the heck does cravanasary mean? It’s the name of one of the combination specials.

  1. Closed on Sundays was a bad deal for sure, especially for a brunch place. But last week they had a sign up that said they will be open on Sundays starting this month (1/2010)… so looks like Sundays are now an option!
