I know, I know I’ve been MIA on the K-pop reportage, but that stops now! Of course before I tackle any other artist I’ve got to go straight at my girls over in 2NE1. If you’ve been under a rock or in America then you probably didn’t hear about their latest album: To Anyone!
I’ve just seen the MV for the track Can’t Nobody and let me tell you they’re on fire once again! To make it even more awesome they’ve released an English version that’s just as sick as the original. Usually the translation comes across clunky or just weird but not this track; the lyrics flow as if they were originally written in English.
I’m thinking 2NE1 could’ve been the GG to hit the American shores and not the Wonder Girls who come across as a cardboard cutouts in comparison. It’s like Destiny’s Child versus En Vogue with 2NE1 definitely holding down the DC spot.
My favorite verse has to be:

Among the girl groups here they do really stand out because of their style, music, and probably because they only have four members instead of the thousands that some groups tend to have.
Haha, yes 2NE1 rocks. I love this album, and it made me look into their first one. They are so different from the other girl groups and that is what I love about them. Badasses!!! Go Away is my favorite track. I love the video and the message it sends.
