Yeti in Hongdae proved to be a sensual experience not only for my taste buds but also for my eyes. The restaurant is located across from the Playground where the Free Market is held. It’s on the basement floor but don’t expect a dark gloomy atmosphere. Instead Yeti offers a seductive ambiance with subdued lighting, warm oranges, maroons and burnished colors along with a interesting keepsakes and traditional regalia adorning the walls. You can sit at a table or slip off your shoes and scoot in with your friends to lounge around a low table while you eat.
And eat you will with samosas, pakora, and a plethora of chicken, vegetable, lamb and seafood curries. Nan can be had in garlic, butter, spicy or sweet varieties. There’s even a Tibetan menu to keep you coming back for more.
Lunch sets for two or dinner sets for two or three are priced at 35,000 and 45,000won.
But don’t take my taste buds for it, go and experience for yourself!
The Good: Delicious Indian food at reasonable prices.
The Bad: from service to cuisine I was happy which is never bad.
The Weird: Lassi is perhaps the weirdest word I know.
