Not so Blue after Flying Pan Blue Coex.
I mostly enjoy consuming vittles in my enclave of Yongsan, the Itaewon area to be exact. However, I have always had to venture across the bridge to Gangnam-gu to earn the scratch to pay for the aforementioned vittles. Yesterday, I enjoyed a enjoyed a decadent brunch for lunch treat at the Flying Pan Blue in the “newly” renovated Coex Mall outside of Samseong Station Exit #6. Everyone in my party of six, suffered a touch of food envy as dishes arrived at the table. Each dish was plated to display it’s major elements in all their glory. I really loved my choice of the creamy scrambled eggs, sausage, tomato and spinach. Unfortunately, I was sandwiched between two handsome gents who both opted for the French toast with slightly carmelized bananas. Looking at their dishes without requesting an itty-bitty bite showed true restraint on my part.
I’m sure that most of you have probably enjoyed a meal or ten at the other Flying Pan locations around Seoul so you are already quite familiar with the their standard menu. I am just writing this to let you know that if you are ever in Coex and feel the need to indulge, but Hyundai Department store and some of the other posh retailers are out of your budget… satisfy your soul and save your coins by enjoying the decadence that is “breakfast under the noontime sun.”
The average price of the mouthwatering lunch sets that include coffee or a soft drink is 15,000 won. For those who like a little buzziness in the afternoon, there are two selections of Magpie Brewery’s most popular craft brews.
If you can’t make it in the afternoon…check out the After Five Dancing Dish menu.
