Taco Bell

KMK: Taco Bell

Food Restaurants

This post was inevitable. I tried to resist. I really did, but it was hopeless. After seeing the long que snake out of the door day after day I finally broke down and did it. I walked into Taco Bell.

For those who didn’t know Taco Bell recently opened a three story branch in Itaewon. Years ago they had a location in Seoul, but it soon failed due to lack of interest. This time around, if the huge crowds are any indication, there’s no chance of them going out of business any time soon.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not a Taco Bell hater. In fact I’ve been known to partake of the some greasy Taco Bell awesomeness while in an alcoholic stupor. It’s just that I feared the presence of Taco Bell would be the death knell for the Mexican places in Seoul I really dig, like Taco Rico. Thankfully, there doesn’t seem to be much chance of that.

After a quick stop at Taco Bell I can say that it’s pretty much the same as back home. If you liked it there you’ll like it here. Though you’ll find the prices a tad higher.

So if you’re in the mood then why not drop by?

The Good:

A taste of home in Seoul.

The Bad:

It’s not 24 hours!

The Weird:

Fries? Really Taco Bell, what’s the world coming to!

Delivery:

You can order Delivery from Taco Bell via Shuttle (셔틀). The prep time is 15 to 35 minutes.

Directions: Itaewon Station. Do an about face and head back toward the corner. Walk away from Hamilton Hotel going down the slight hill and its on your left.

Hours:

Sun – Thu: 10:30am – 11:00pm
Fri – Sat: 10:30am – 2:00am

  1. And one of MY posts on 3WM was about getting touched in a sauna ….sometimes people read (and write) for a little enjoyment.
I would have hoped trolling other expat sites was below 3wm….

  2. Right, so just because we are discussing a fast food chain we are somehow oblivious to the rest of the world? You sure do presume much, don't you? Maybe you should get off the high horse before you break it's back?

Are you going to throw war in the middle east, famine in Africa, and the despotic rule in China at us next?

If the post is too frivolous for you then perhaps you shouldn't read or comment on it? Isn't that wasting precious time you could be devoting to more pertinent and serious issues?

  3. They need more beens. More beens. More beens. I was pleased to see the bean burrito…but I left craving a Pinto's and Cheese like crazy!

    1. Hear that Taco Bell? More Beans, More Cheese, Less Sour Cream! I haven't had anything with beans yet maybe they're is shortage of cheese and beans while the sour cream is in abundance!

  4. I felt like they put too much sour cream on their things. I love it but at the same time.. it was too much sour cream for me.
